Position: WebSphere Admin L2 or L3
Location: Orlando,Fl & Los Angeles,CA & Glendale, CA
Duration: 6 Months
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· 5-7 years functional experience with webserver/application servers such as Apache/tomcat/
· 5-7 years' experience in web technologies such as Java/HTML/JavaScript/EJB/JDBC/JMS etc.
· Excellent functional knowledge of various OS such as Linux/Unix and Windows.
· Good functional knowledge of debugging/troubleshooting tools in a java environment.
· Some functional knowledge of databases is preferable.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various s levels in the organization (e.g. executive, management, individual contributors)
· Proficiency in problem solving and time management skills managing multiple deadlines·
· Proficiency to operate independently or as a part of a team.
Job Summary for L2 WAS admin
· Describe the architectural concepts related to Application Server
· Install and configure Application Server and HTTP Server
· Explain the basic concepts of the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition 1.4
· Assemble and install server-side Java enterprise applications
· Use Application Server administrative tools to configure and manage enterprise applications
· Knowledge on security for server-side application resources
· Configure and deploy enterprise applications
· View performance information about server and application components
· Use problem determination tools and log files to troubleshoot problems
· Monitoring using simple command and scripts
Job Summary for L3 WAS admin
· HTTP server configuration like Document root, log rotation, custom log, virtual host etc
· Ability to install and deploy large WebSphere infrastructures across Datacenters.
· Proven experience in supporting large scale WebSphere infrastructures with multiple middleware products
· Apply fixpacks, fixes to Application Servers.
· Experience in architecting / designing high available WebSphere infrastructure
· Experience and understanding of integrations websphere with MQ/DB2/Oracle
· Knowledge on Clustering, High Avalilability & Workload Management
· Configure SSL,Plugin Security,etc
· Configure connection to MQ,DB and other systems
· To interpret JVM logs, Trace logs, ffdc logs, native logs, java_core, heapdumps, access, activity
· Creating JDBC provider, resources, XA
· Profile Creation, Federation of Node and HTTP Server
· Experience in large scale websphere clusters, distributed sessions, HA Managers, WLM, Core and Node groups.
· Provide infrastructure consulting and support to application development teams
· PMR support, collector,sh, AAT.
