[Pak Youth] Today's Food of Thought

Do not get too proud patting yourself on the back for fasting this Ramadan. Indeed, if it were not for the Mercy of Allah, Al-Wadood, and His choosing of you to fast for His Sake today, you wouldn't have done so. So instead be thankful that you were amongst the ones chosen to fast this blessed Ramadan! Say Alhamdulillah

[Pak Youth] Incentive for the Selfish

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "He who supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence), the angel commissioned (for carrying dua to his Lord) says: 'Ameen, and it is for you also.'" [Sahih Muslim]

So the advantage of praying for the iman, safety, health, prosperity, or any good, for another Muslim, is that we have an angel make the same dua for us. When a person thinks selfishly, they are selfish even in their prayers; why pray for someone instead of for ourselves only, why pray for a Muslim in some remote part of the world? This hadith provides incentive even for a selfish person to make dua for all Muslim brothers and sisters.

[Pak Youth] Affairs of This World

When the affairs of this world threaten to engulf you, remember you are yet to see the reward of your fasting, your tahajjud, your charity, the dhikr you made, the da'wah you did, the goodness you spread and the patience you had.

Just because it is unseen today, does not mean it is non-existent. So take heart! Difficulties of life are nothing compared to what lies ahead for every sincere believer.

"And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied." (93:5)

May Allah accept it from us and you.
