Protect them, save the, and keep them away from all that will displease you and guide them to all that will attain your pleasure. Keep them safe and healthy, happy and with peace of mind, upright and God-conscious, and bless them with that which is best here and in the next world.

Ya Allaah, may you grant this dua for them and for the whole ummah, Allaahumma ameen.

Short Story: The young man who couldn't forget his Love.

A young man calls in to Syaikh Muhammad al'Arifi during a live broadcast.

The young man says he's in love and cannot forget his love and asks for the syaikh's advice. The syaikh advises the young man to seek help from Allah and do much du'a (supplication).

The young man asks the syaikh if there are any special du'a he can do to get rid of this obsessive love that has attached itself in the heart.

The 'alim advises him to say the following du'a:

"Allahuma-j'al fee qalbee noora, wa-fee basaree noora(w), wa-fee sam'ee noora...(Oh Allah! Let there be light in my heart, light in my eyesight, light in my hearing…" [Sahih al-Bukhari; Muslim]

The syaikh didn't get to finish the du'a as he's interrupted by the young man who pleads, "Please, please honorable syaikh, but stop."

The syaikh stops and asks, "Have I said anything wrong?"

The young man replies, "The girl I'm in love with is named Noor."

The syaikh then laughs so much he has to stop his lecture! :)

Six persons including an Awami National Party (ANP) leader were killed while ten others injured when a blast occurred at Kuchlak Bazaar of Quetta Friday morning, Geo News reported.

According to police, a blast occurred at Kuchlak Bazaar near the venue of ANP rally and was followed by intense firing that killed six persons including an ANP leader Malik Qasim and eight-year-old boy.

Ten persons including ANP's provincial president Aurangzaib Kasi and his wife were also injured in the blast.

Security forces cordoned off the area while rescue teams shifted the injured and bodies to Civil Hospital and CMH, Quetta.

Two vehicles were also damaged in the explosion while seven kilograms of explosives were used in the blast that were fitted in a bicycle, bomb disposal squad told.

Several political parties condemned the blast and demanded immediate action against the perpetrators.

It is pertinent to mention that Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf is due to visit Quetta today.
