گو ذرا سی بات پر برسوں کے یارانے گئے
لیکن اتنا تو ہوا کچھ لوگ پہچانے گئے
میں اسے شہرت کہوں یا اپنی رسوائی کہوں
مجھ سے پہلے اس گلی میں میرے افسانے گئے
یوں تو وہ میری رگِ جاں سے بھی تھے نزدیک تر
آنسوؤں کی دھند میں لیکن نہ پہچانے گئے
وحشتیں کچھ اس طرح اپنا مقدر ہو گئیں
ہم جہاں پہنچے، ہمارے ساتھ ویرانے گئے
اب بھی ان یادوں کی خوشبو ذہن میں محفوظ ہے
بارہا ہم جن سے گلزاروں کو مہکانے گئے
کیا قیامت ہے کہ خاطر کشتۂ شب بھی تھے ہم
صبح بھی آئی تو مجرم ہم ہی گردانے گئے
