I am a Muslim believer already Do i need to UNDERSTAND Quran also ?
Is there any order that obligates everyone to UNDERSTAND Quran ?
Besides all other humanly explanation, Here's what ALLAH says in Quran itself >>
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah , they would have found within it much contradiction. (4:82)
Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord, and follow no friends other than He; little do you remember.(7:3)
We have explained (things) in various (ways) in this Qur'an, in order that they may receive admonition, but it only increases their flight (from the Truth)! (17:41)
We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it.(23:62)
Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing;(23:63)
And return [in repentance] to your Lord and submit to Him before the punishment comes upon you; then you will not be helped.(39:54)
And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord before the punishment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive,(39:55)
Lest a soul should say, "Oh [how great is] my regret over what I neglected in regard to Allah and that I was among the mockers."(39:56)
The Quran is a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be questioned about it.(43:44)
And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs,(26:198)
And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it.(26:199)
Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.).(26:200)
And We have certainly presented to the people in this Qur'an from every [kind of] example. But, [O Muhammad SAW], if you should bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, "You [believers] are but falsifiers.(30:58)
Thus does Allah seal the hearts of those who do not know.(30:59)
Had We sent this as a Qur'an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?" Say: "It is a Guide and a Healing to those who believe; and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes): They are (as it were) being called from a place far distant!"(41:44)
Do they not then earnestly seek to understand the Qur'an, or are their hearts locked up by them?(47:24)
Thus does Allah make clear to you [His] Ayaat that you might give thought.(2:266)
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His Ayaat that you may be guided.(3:103)
We send down in the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the unjust it causes nothing but loss after loss.(17:82)
Say: "Whether ye believe in it or not, it is true that those who were given knowledge beforehand, when it is recited to them, fall down on their faces in humble prostration,(17:107)
It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad SAW], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.(3:7)
And indeed We have put forth every kind of example in this Quran, for mankind. But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything.(18:54) —
