·         Installation, configuration and upgrading of MS SQL Server RDBMS, OLAP server software and related  products

·         Establish and Maintain sound backup and recovery policies

·         Implement and maintain  database security

·         Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams

·         Perform database tuning and performance monitoring

Oracle Admin:

IT Systems/Infrastructure Analyst

Essential Job Duties:




·  Provides consultative function for the development and enhancements of existing and new infrastructure, working with in-house and external application development resources.

·  Provides on site or remote access diagnoses and resolution of computer hardware and software problems using a highly integrated set of diagnostic tools and techniques utilizing a specialized set of diagnostic tools and elevated privileges.

·  Researches, analyzes, develops, and documents new processes and procedures to implement new solutions for use by IT Technicians to meet future problem resolution needs.

·  Develops guidelines and upgrade techniques for new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems.

·  Administers, implements, and provides technical support of applications and associated hardware used in a client server environment utilizing a specialized set of diagnostic tools with elevated privileges.

·  Administers and implements automated data processing systems and computer application programs.

·  Develops specifications to detail what new systems or enhancements to existing systems can accomplish.

·  Develops and implements the directory configurations, messaging configurations, and state-wide operating systems which include communication systems (servers, routers, switches and hubs).

·  Provides planning, design, and implementation of computer hardware, software, and network components. Tests programs and systems and integrates system modules.

·  Converts and implements new systems or upgrades existing systems.

·  Analyzes the need for, and develops, documents, implements, and monitors, information technology quality assurance standards.

·  Evaluates network services equipment and software for purchase; recommends new configurations, provides training or arranges for vendor training for system users.

·  Serves as technical expert providing support to IT Technicians.

The project scope is to revamp the current local intranet to be more in line with Head Office (European based) intranet. The revamping primary focus is the expansion of the sit map content of the existing intranet site. The expansion is to include the following:

Specific Projects 

The specific engagement is consulting for the graphical and user experience which includes look and feel of the intranet site. The scope includes using SharePoint as the intranet platform including the following: 
Provide guidance and best practices on developing a custom SharePoint site 
Training on technical implementation and ongoing maintenance 
Develop and provide guidance on the framework for the intranet 
Assist and provide guidance in the creation of the technical specification document 
 
1.2. Resource Skill Set Requirements 

Web Graphical Design Vendor must be a subject matter expert on manipulating and rendering graphics. Using existing logos, banners and strict adherences to corporate branding. 
Web Development Vendor must be a subject matter expert on all aspects of Web Development and Web Design. 
Microsoft Visual Studios Vendor must be an expert on using Microsoft Visual Studios Web Development template since the new intranet will be based on this technologies 
Microsoft SharePoint Vendor must be a subject matter on SharePoint in the creation of a custom site, training and providing guidance. Assist in the technical documentation. 



2.1. IT Architecture 

The IT Architecture will be Microsoft technologies as follows: 
All front end development will be done on SharePoint. All extended development will be done in Visual Studios 2010 using a SharePoint project template 

All server side functions and hosting will be done on a Microsoft Internet Information. 

Database and data storage will be done on Microsoft SQL server. 

2.2. Project deliverables: 

o Detailed supporting documentation explaining all work done. 

o All web style sheets called for by the project. 

o All supporting HTML files and/or web configuration file additional to web style sheets. 

o Training, guidance and technical documentation
