Position:QA Analyst
Location:Savannah, GA
Duration:6+ Months


Required: US citizen or Green Card holder's

 Level of support: Level – 2

Must have good credit and BGV. Client has stringent credit check criteria.

Selected Candidate needs to undergo Credit and BackGround Check Verification

 

Role/Responsibility:

·         Create and perform functional, usability, platform compatibility, and stress tests on software applications

·         Assist the packaging staff in clarifying requests for software changes, understanding the reported problems, and identifying potential problems.

·         Design, prepare, document and execute on test plans and strategy and detailed test cases.

·          Implement both functional and performance validation and optimization test cases.

·         Analyze test data, document the results and findings of the QA testing, and report on same.

·         Perform functional requirements testing of new software builds and test and verify technical documentation is correct prior to release

·         Ensure appropriate coverage of business and application functionality in the various test plans and test cases.

 

Technician may be asked to work some evening, weekend and holiday hours for critical system down issues, to comply with project requirements or to provide VIP support.

Education/Experience Requirements

·         Technical degree in IT related field or 3 years of hands-on experience

 

Knowledge &Experience Required:

·         Expert knowledge of QA methodology and industry-standard testing.

·         Proven ability to create, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans.

·         Enthusiasm to dig into technical specifications and to troubleshoot problems.

·         Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files

·         A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools, version control, testing and QA, and deployment)

·         Able to test for compatibility moving from a WinXP to Win7 platform
