Job Description
This contractor position is opened to provide on-going support for the PeopleSoft and other legacy systems while the company implements SAP ERP and HR platforms. During this implementation, this contractor will be focused on maintaining and supporting our currently deployed systems. No major new HR/Payroll projects are planned for PeopleSoft, but business requirements may change and some project work may be required.
This position will report to the IT Manager for Finance Application Support. The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of technical skills and functional experience with PeopleSoft HR/Payroll modules. With experience working in a fast paced global company. Specifically, the position will be responsible for providing production support for the following functional areas:
• Payroll Interface, including several different versions for ADP US and Canada in North America as well as other 3rd party payroll providers for Asia Pacific and EMEA regions
• Absence Management/Time-off Reporting for global workforce including complex entitlements, forecasting and workflow
• Additional Pay
• Integration with Equity and stock based compensation programs
• Production Support activities can include, but are not limited to:
• troubleshooting technical issues
• period based activities such as annual calendar maintenance and open enrollment
• handling mass activities due to acquisitions and re-organizations
• performing system testing
• providing ad-hoc reports and queries
• responding to management and audit requests
• providing training
• project activity to meet changing business needs
Job Requirements
• Functional expert level experience with PeopleSoft 9.0 HR/Payroll modules, working with a global workforce in a fast paced and demanding environment.
• Technical expertise with PeopleTools including Application Engine, PeopleCode Workflow, SQR, Query and Crystal reports with ability to run and analyze trace files
• Expert in MS SQL and MS Office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
• Experience with SharePoint and Remedy (for trouble tickets) is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Focus on customer satisfaction and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with little direction/supervision.
• Adaptable and capable of absorbing new concepts and situations rapidly.
• Strong team player.
