[Pak Youth] Hadith (al-Bukhari, 5050; Muslim, 800).

It was narrated that Ibn Mas'ood (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me:

"Recite the Qur'an to me." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, shall I recite it to you when it was revealed to you?" He said: "I like to hear it from someone else."

So I recited Soorat al-Nisa' to him, and when I reached this verse – "How (will it be) then, when We bring from each nation a witness and We bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these people?" [Al-Nisa' 4:41] – he said: "That is enough for now."

I turned to him and saw his eyes were streaming with tears.

Narrated by
al-Bukhari, 5050; Muslim, 800.
