Azature, a US fine jewellery company, is offering the world's most expensive nail polish, containing 267 carats of black diamonds, with a price of (just) $250,000.

The nail polish has easily broken the record of Model's Own $130,000 Gold Rush Couture shade.

"The black diamond is the ultimate fine jewel. Its combination of beauty, mystery, and sophistication makes it a timeless luxury. One day, I thought, 'Why not showcase this style on nails?'" said Azature in a statement.

A very cheaper version of the polish will be available for $25, each bottle of which will only have one carat of black diamond in it.

"The nail polish currently has a 576-person waiting list," a representative for the brand said, but the company will produce only one bottle of it.

Celebrities Kelly Clarkson, Liv Tyler and Megan Fox have all worn Azature's designs.
